Board Members & Staff
Stuart Greenfield, M.D.
Welcome to Lake Shore Drive Synagogue.
I was born and raised in Montreal Canada and attended Herzliah High School until I graduated in 1979. I have been a member of LSDS ( or, the Elm Street Shul as many of us like to refer to it) since I moved to Chicago in 1993.
Even before I moved I frequently attended the synagogue on many trips and was always warmly welcomed. Our Shabbat and holiday Kiddush lunches are legendary and provide nourishment for the body and soul and give folks a much needed opportunity to socialize
I am proud of our accomplishments to support the diversity of our members and to promote inclusivity to the greatest extent possible.
A warm welcome for visitors and members alike exists to this day. It is both the greatest legacy of our founding families and our greatest responsibility to maintain.
Victoria (Tory) moved to Chicago with her husband, Jeff, in August of 2020 and started as Administrator at Lake Shore Drive Synagogue almost immediately. Previously she was the Music Director/Communications director at a synagogue outside of New Orleans, Louisiana.
She has worked professionally in the musical field since 1983. This work has included teaching music to preschoolers, working as a music director for a Presbyterian church, music director for a Tulane University vocal group, as well as acting as Cantorial Soloist for synagogues in Suburban Chicago, Shreveport, LA, Asheville, NC, and the New Orleans area.
She has two children, two step-children, a son-in-law, a daughter-in-law, and, of course, Ori, the family dog.
